Reason for inclusion: Where Holmes and Watson are enjoying a Turkish Bath when Holmes tells Watson about Colonel Damery’s prospective visit.
Accessibility: Externally at all times. Inside a private building.
Description: A building that in the 19th century was a Turkish bath complex.
Comments: The complex comprised two baths, one for men one for women. It was owned by the Nevill brothers. There is no external identification available from the Northumberland Avenue side but Ottoman decoration remains on the Craven Passage (formerly Northumberland Passage side) which was the entrance to the Women’s baths. The complex covered the basement, ground and first floors.
