Description: A major London theatre dating from 1765. The portico and grand facade was added by Samuel Beazley before the theatre reopened in 1834.
Comment
Mary, Holmes, and Watson travel to the theatre by cab. On arrival they are met and taken by another carriage on a journey across the Thames into southern London, beyond Coldharbour Lane.
